It's perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of soy sauce and sesame oil to enhance the natural flavors of the fish. For those looking to try something new, the spicy ahi poke is a popular option. It's a little bolder with a spicy kick, making it a favorite among spice lovers.

One of the reasons Hanalei Poke is so beloved by customers is the level of customization it offers. You can pick your protein-whether it’s tuna, salmon, or even tofu for a plant-based option-and pair it with a wide range of toppings. From crispy onions and avocado to seaweed salad and edamame, there’s something to satisfy every palate. The bowl is finished off with a drizzle of sauce, from spicy mayo to creamy ponzu, ensuring the perfect balance of flavors.

If you’re not in the mood for poke, the restaurant also offers other delicious options, such as sushi rolls and tasty sides like miso soup and pickled vegetables. It’s the ideal spot for a quick bite, whether you’re stopping by for lunch or grabbing dinner after a day at the beach.

It's clear that the team here cares deeply about creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you’ll feel right at home.

But don’t just take our word for it-reviews from visitors consistently praise the quality and taste of the food. Many highlight the freshness of the fish, with some even calling it "the best poke they've ever had." The cozy, open-air setting adds to the experience, offering a chance to enjoy your meal while taking in the stunning views of Hanalei Bay.

5 stars for the vegan tofu poke. Great mix of flavors and textures. Hearty portion. Notably good ginger, too. Would be nice to be able to pick multiple poke types for non vegans. I’m used to only having one option, so didn’t bother me.

Very good poke bowls. Super fresh and very delicious combinations. It was very crowded, nevertheless we got our order after 5 minutes, which is really fast. The view while eating is on the parking lot of the shops around which is not the nicest, however, the flair suits totally to the north shore.

This spot has great reviews for a reason. The poke is fresh and the bowl is flavorful. I kept wanting to go back into the bowl as it was delicious. After reading the negative reviews, I find people are most aggrieved about the price. I find the price is on par for many of the places we have visited in Kauai and Honolulu. If you're on the north part of the island, you should definitely come here for lunch.

Well seasoned poke - the portion can be a bit small for the price. I like the Hanalei special more than the kealia - it’s a bit better seasoned to bring out the flavor of the fish. Rice + salad is a good base to go with.

This is where we eat any time we are visiting Hanalei. Some of the best poke on the north shore. Our favorite is the Hanalei Special.
